“Pitches Get Stitches” are the Downtown Kickball Champions of the Spring ‘23 Season, after defeating “Kickolas Cage” 11-6!
"Pitches Get Stitches" entered the position week with an undefeated record and looked to keep that undefeated streak into the Championship, but "Kickolas Cage" did not make it easy for them. Both teams displayed their amazing offensive talent all season long, so everyone was expecting a high scoring game. “Pitches Get Stitches” came out on fire and scored a few runs early in the championship, but “Kickolas Cage” came right back and scored a few runs of their own. It looked like the championship was going to live up to the offensive hype that we all expected. “Pitches Get Stitches” started to play amazing defense after the third inning, and were able to hold “Kickolas Cage” impressive offense to only 6 runs for the rest of the game. It was a hard fought battle, but "Pitches Get Stitches" came out on top and won 10-4 finishing the season undefeated.
