3v3 Basketball - Thursdays (Spring '24)

“The Defending Champions” are the Thursday Comp Basketball Champions of the Spring ‘24 Season, after defeating “Baller & Scholars” 2-0!

It was the playoffs for Thursday basketball last night and it didn’t disappoint. “The Defending Champions” and the “Baller & Scholars” met in the championship and no one knew who was going to walk away as the champions of Thursday basketball. “The Defending Champions” came out on fire in the first game. They couldn’t miss a shot and they dominated on the defensive end. Their defense didn’t allow the “Baller & Scholars” offense to get anything going for most of the first game. With a few minutes left, the “Baller & Scholars” offense started to heat up but it was too late. “The Defending Champions” made two impressive shots back to back and won the first game 21-18.

“The Defending Champions” started game two with the same energy by playing smart basketball on the offensive end and suffocating their opponent with their defense. Their scoring ability was almost effortless and it was incredible to watch. However, “Baller & Scholars” kept it close by playing great defense and not allowing “The Defending Champions” to score any points for a few minutes. “The Defending Champions” were finally able to score a few buckets back to back which gave them a little bit of a cushion. “Baller & Scholars” were able to find a rhythm at the midway point which kept the game competitive until the end. Both teams played their hearts out and for a second it looked like “Baller & Scholars” were going to force a third and final game, but “The Defending Champions” had the championship in their sights and no one was going to stop them. “The Defending Champions” made one final three to win the game 21-19!
