“Practice Squad” are the Tuesday Soccer Champions of the Late Summer ‘23 season, after defeating “Plan B” 2-1!
“Practice Squad” came into the playoffs as one of the favorites to take home the title. Their incredible offense is why they finished as one of the top teams in their division, but their impressive defense and amazing teamwork was the main reason they made it to the finals. The championship started off evenly matched with neither team being able to pull away from the other, but that all changed when “Practice Squad” scored an unbelievable goal midway through the first half to take the lead. “Plan B” kept applying pressure to “Practice Squad’s” defense, but “Practice Squad” stayed strong and did not allow them to score in the first half. The second half started off as a defensive battle but “Plan B” was able to score a goal of their own to tie it up. It looked like the championship was up for grabs, but “Practice Squad” turned up the heat and scored another goal to take a 2-1 lead. “Plan B” kept the game competitive all the way until the end, but “Practice Squad” was able to hold them off and won the championship 2-1!
