Top Seed, Top Speed: Lob Mob Sweeps to Victory

The beginner pickleball league wrapped up an exciting season with a two-week playoff tournament featuring the top 9 teams. Every match was a battle, and the championship path was full of surprises!

Week one kicked off with the play-in match between 8th seed Cookin in the Kitchen and 9th seed The Pickle Jars. Cookin in the Kitchen handled business quickly, advancing with a 2-0 win to face the top seed. In the quarterfinals, #1 Lob Mob took on Cookin in the Kitchen and showed why they earned that top spot, sweeping the match 2-0. Meanwhile, 4th seed Tallac Trio and 5th seed The Picklettes had a back-and-forth showdown, with Tallac Trio edging out the win 2-1.

The upsets started rolling in as 7th seed Paddle Posse stunned 2nd seed Pickle Palooza in a 2-1 nail-biter, and 6th seed Paddle Daddiez pulled off another upset by taking down 3rd seed Team Pickle, also in a tight 2-1 match. That set up a semifinal round full of unexpected matchups.

In the second week, the semifinals saw Lob Mob continue their dominance with a clean 2-0 sweep over Tallac Trio. On the other side, Paddle Posse kept their underdog story alive by defeating Paddle Daddiez 2-0 to advance to the finals.

The championship match featured the #1 seed vs the #7 seed—Lob Mob vs Paddle Posse. Despite Paddle Posse’s impressive run, Lob Mob stayed locked in and claimed the title with a final 2-0 victory. Their path through the bracket was flawless, never dropping a set and proving they were the team to beat all season.

Congratulations to Lob Mob—your Tuesday Beginner Pickleball Champions! 🎉 Thanks to all teams for making this a fun, competitive, and memorable season. We’ll see you back on the courts next round!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
