“Dream Team” are the Thursday Rec Basketball Champions of the Fall ‘24 Season, after defeating “SSK” 2-0!
It was the playoffs for Thursday basketball last night and it didn’t disappoint. “Dream Team” and “SSK” met in the championship and no one knew who was going to walk away as the champions of Thursday Rec Basketball. “Dream Team” came out on fire in the first game. They couldn’t miss a shot and they dominated on the defensive end. Their defense didn’t allow “SSK’s” offense to get anything going for most of the first game. With a few minutes left, “SSK’s” offense started to heat up but it was too late. “Dream Team” made two impressive shots back to back and won the first game 21-17.
“Dream Team” started game two with the same energy by playing smart basketball on the offensive end and suffocating their opponent with their defense. Their scoring ability was almost effortless and it was incredible to watch. However, “SSK” kept it close by playing great defense and not allowing “Dream Team” to score any points for a few minutes. “Dream Team” started to find a groove and score a few buckets back to back which gave them a little bit of a cushion, but “SSK” found a rhythm of their own at the midway point of the second game which kept it competitive until the end. Both teams played their hearts out and it looked like “SSK” was going to force a third and final game, but “Dream Team” had the championship in their sights and no one was going to stop them. “Dream Team” made one final shot that was set up by a fantastic screen to win the game 21-16!

“Net Navigators” are the Thursday Comp Basketball Champions of the Fall ‘24 after defeating “Hippity Hoppity Hoop” 2-0!
It was the playoffs for Thursday Basketball last night and it did not disappoint! “Net Navigators” and “Hippity Hoppity Hoop” made it to the championship and it was a match to remember! The championship started off with “Net Navigators” scoring the first point of the match. “Hippity Hoppity Hoop” came right back and immediately made a three pointer to tie it up, but “Net Navigators” kept making three after three and won the first game 21-16. After losing the first game, “Hippity Hoppity Hoop” turned up the heat and kept it competitive all the way until the end. It looked like “Hippity Hoppity Hoop” was going to easily win the game but “Net Navigators” weren't going down without a fight. “Net Navigators” caught fire towards the end of game two and won 21-19. “Net Navigators” started to play smart basketball halfway through the second match and made every shot they took. “Hippity Hoppity Hoop” played their hearts out and applied a lot of pressure to “Net Navigators” defense, but “Net Navigators” proved that they’re still the team to beat in our Thursday Comp Basketball league!
