“Big Ol’ Hitties” are the Wednesday Sand Volleyball Champions of the Fall ‘24 Season, after defeating “Cold 6 Pack” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Wednesday Sand volleyball last night and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Big Ol’ Hitties” and “Cold 6 Pack” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Cold 6 Pack” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 21-12. It looked like “Cold 6 Pack” was going to be crowned the champions after the second game but “Big Ol’ Hitties” had other ideas for game two. “Big Ol’ Hitties” changed up their game plan and was able to win the second set 22-20 with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the third and final game. “Big Ol’ Hitties” took an early lead in the third set with some incredible serves but “Cold 6 Pack” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “Big Ol’ Hitties” was able to find a groove late in the third game and won 21-10 to become the champions of Wednesday Sand Volleyball!
