“106 N Chillin” are the Downtown Champions of the Summer ‘24 season, after defeating “Sactown Smackdown” 6-5!
It was the playoffs for Kickball last night and it did not disappoint! “106 N Chillin” and “Sactown Smackdown” made it to the championship and it was the rematch of the century! The game started out with the “Sactown Smackdown” scoring a couple runs in the first inning and not allowing “106 N Chillin” to get anything going offensively, but everything changed after the third inning. “106 N Chillin” offense started to heat up in the 4th and the 5th inning scoring a few runs to give them a lead going into the last inning. “Sactown Smackdown” was able to string together a couple hits in the last inning but “106 N Chillin” was able to hold them off. “106 N Chillin” have been impressive on the offensive end all season long but it was their defense that gave them an edge in the championship.

“Kicking Coconuts” are the Midtown Kickball Champions of the Summer ‘24 Season, after defeating “Kickleback” 10-0!
"Kicking Coconuts" entered the the final week as the #2 seed and one of the heavy favorites to take home the championship. Their offense was the main reason they finished at the top of their division but their real MVP during the championship was their defense. “Kicking Coconuts'' came out on fire and scored a few runs early in the championship and never looked back from there. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, but their amazing defense did not allow “Kickleback” to score a single run the entire game. “Kickleback” played their hearts out, but "Kicking Coconuts" came out on top and won 10-0 finishing the season as the champions of the Wednesday kickball league!
