“Trust The Beam” are the Thursday Rec. Basketball Champions of the Late Spring ‘24 Season, after defeating “Rim Reapers” 2-0!
It was the playoffs for Thursday basketball last night and it didn’t disappoint. “Trust The Beam” and the “Rim Reapers” met in the championship and no one knew who was going to walk away as the champions of Thursday Basketball. “Trust The Beam” came out on fire in the first game. They couldn’t miss a shot and they dominated on the defensive end. Their defense didn’t allow the “Rim Reapers” offense to get anything going for most of the first game. With a few minutes left, the “Rim Reapers” offense started to heat up but it was too late. “Trust The Beam” made two impressive shots back to back and won the first game 21-18.
“Trust The Beam” started game two with the same energy by playing smart basketball on the offensive end and suffocating their opponent with their defense. Their scoring ability was almost effortless and it was incredible to watch. However, “Rim Reapers” kept it close by playing great defense and not allowing “Trust The Beam” to score any points for a few minutes. “Trust The Beam” started to find a groove and score a few buckets back to back which gave them a little bit of a cushion, but “Rim Reapers” found a rhythm of their own at the midway point of the second game which kept it competitive until the end. Both teams played their hearts out and it looked like “Rim Reapers” were going to force a third and final game, but “Trust The Beam” had the championship in their sights and no one was going to stop them. “Trust The Beam” made one final three and won the game 21-15!

It was the playoffs for Thursday Basketball last night and it did not disappoint! “H Flyers” and “99 Problems But A Swish Ain’t One’” made it to the championship and it was a match to remember! The championship started off with “99 Problems But A Swish Ain’t One” scoring the first point of the match. “H Flyers” came right back and immediately made a three pointer to tie it up, but “99 Problems But A Swish Ain’t One” kept making three after three and won the first game 21-18. After losing the first game, “H Flyers” turned up the heat and took a commanding lead early in game two. It looked like “H Flyers” were going to easily win the game but “99 Problems But A Swish Ain’t One” wasn’t going down without a fight. “99 Problems But A Swish Ain’t One” kept it close until the very end but “H Flyers” came out on top and won the second game 21-19 and forced a third and final match. The championship deciding game started out as a nail biter with both teams matching each other point for point. It looked like the championship would come down to the final shot of the game but “H Flyers” started to make great play after great play by playing smart basketball. “99 Problems But A Swish Ain’t One” played their hearts out and kept it competitive all the way until the end but “H Flyers” proved that they’re the best team in the league by winning the third game 23-20 and becoming the champions of Thursday Basketball!
