“Plan B” are the Tuesday Soccer Champions of the Late Spring ‘24 season, after defeating “Practice Squad” 3-2!
“Plan B” came into the playoffs as the heavy favorite to take home the title. Their incredible offense is why they finished as the best team in the league, but their impressive defense and amazing teamwork was the reason they made it to the finals. The championship started off very evenly matched with neither team being able to pull away from the other. Everything changed when “Plan B” scored an unbelievable goal midway through the first half to take the lead. “Practice Squad” kept applying pressure on “Plan B’s” defense, but “Plan B” stayed strong and did not allow them to score in the first half. The second half started off as a defensive battle but “Practice Squad” was able to score a goal of their own to tie it up. It looked like the championship was up for grabs, but “Plan B” turned up the heat and scored two more goals to take a commanding 3-1 lead. “Practice Squad” scored a last minute goal to give them one final chance to pull off a miracle, but “Plan B” was able to prevent them from scoring and won the championship 3-2!
