Our Summer 2014 Friday Softball league wrapped up last night with the leagues top 4 teams poised and ready for a run at the championship.
The expected title game between the #1 seed "Team From The West" and the #2 seed "Bubble Bats" didn't come to fruition when #4 seed "#Ballers" pulled off a massive upset over the top seed in the opening round in a 7-6 stunner securing their spot in the finals.
The second semi-final, "Bubble Bats" put together timely hits and played a strong defensive game in ousting #3 seed "We Got Balls" by a final score of 7-3.
In the championship game, "Bubble Bats" got off to a strong start and never looked back. The entire team was swinging hot bats and finding holes in the defense. "#Ballers" hung in courageously, mounting a late inning rally, but it proved too little too late as "Bubble Bats" won the championship going away 14-6.
Congratulations to Bubble Bats and to all of the teams that competed in a great softball season.
