Ace Ventura Sets Their Way To A Championship

Our Spring 2014 Bumper Volleyball season concluded last night with a great championship match between Ace Ventura Set Detective and Team A.

The two friendly rivals have been on top of the leader board all season, and tonight they met for the third time this season, with the championship on the line. In their two regular season meetings each team won one of the weeks, so both teams knew it would be a tough game.

In the first game, Ace Ventura Set Detective came out strong, hitting and digging anything that came their way. Team A couldn’t rally back fast enough, and Ace Ventura Set Detective won the first game, 21-12. Team A knew they needed to work as a team if they were going to become Champions, and that’s just what they did. The second game was tied throughout the whole first half, but Team A dug in deeper, and came out with a victory, causing a third game to be a tie breaker. With the title on the line, Ace Ventura Set Detective gave it everything they had, took an early lead and finished strong, becoming this season’s Bumper Champions.

Congratulations Ace Ventura Set Detective and thank you to all who played this season.

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
