“The A Team” are the Flag Football Champions of the Late Spring ‘23 Season, after defeating Small Pass Big TDs” 6-5!
The playoffs started with “The A Team” taking on the tenacious” Anarchy” squad. It was a tough battle for both teams with neither of them being able to pull away from the other in the first half. Things got chippy between the two teams but “The A Team” buckled down, pulled away, and took their first playoff win 5-2. “The Small Pass Big TDs” took care of business against the Wanderers 7-2 and punched their own ticket to the championship. In the championship game, “The A Team” and “Small Pass Big TD” had one of the best games seen in Xoso history. “The A Team” was down 3-5 in the second half and thanks to an impressive drive and an incredible 40 yard pass, they tied the game up and sent the championship into overtime. The crowd was going wild as the overtime rules were set. In 1st overtime, both teams scored, in the second overtime, both teams didn’t allow the other to score, in the third, they both scored once again. In the 4TH OVERTIME everyone was on pins and needles, the spectators were going crazy. “The A Team” made a huge stop and thanks to perfect crossing routes, “The A Team” sealed the win and the championship in FOUR OVERTIMES. Both teams had a blast and even took a championship photo together showing that the true trophy were the friends you made along the way. Once again congratulations on an insane victory and a bar tab at Streets to The A Team!
