“Los Kickers” are the Downtown Kickball Champions of the Spring ‘23 Season, after defeating “The IncrediBalls” 5-3!
“Los Kickers” entered the the playoffs as the #2 seed and as one of the heavy favorites to take home the championship. Their offense was the main reason they finished at the top of their division, but their real MVP during the championship was their defense. These two talented teams met during the regular season and that game ended up finishing as a tie so everyone was expecting another close game. The championship started out very evenly matched but everything changed after the third inning. “Los Kickers” offense started to fire on all cylinders, and it didn’t look like “The IncrediBalls” would be able to stop them. “Los Kickers” scored a couple runs in back to back innings to take the lead, but “The IncrediBalls” came right back and kept the game close. “The IncrediBalls” almost completed a miraculous comeback, but “Los Kickers” impressive defense held them off and took home the championship!

"The Ballbarians" entered the the final week as the #1 seed and the heavy favorites to take home the championship. Their offense was the main reason they finished at the top of their division, but their real MVP during the championship was their defense. “The Ballbarians'' came out on fire and scored a few runs early in the championship and never looked back from there. Their offense was firing on all cylinders, but their amazing defense did not allow “Los Jalapeños” to get anything going on the offensive end the entire game. “Los Jalapeños” played their hearts out, but "The Ballbarians" came out on top and won 10-1 finishing the season undefeated.
