“Hieronymus Bocce” are the Bocce Ball Champions of the Spring ‘23 Season, after defeating “Barack Obocce” 15-14!
It was the playoffs for Bocce Ball last night and it didn’t disappoint. The championship game was between “Barack Obocce and “Hieronymus Bocce” and it was a match to remember. The championship started off with “Barack Obocce” scoring the first point of the match but “Hieronymus Bocce” came right back and tied it up. The game started off very evenly matched but “Barack Obocce” started to pull ahead after making point after point. “Barack Obocce” started to dominate the championship by taking a 10-3 lead. It looked like “Barack Obocce” was going to be crowned the champions, until “Hieronymus Bocce” hit a stroke of luck and started to close the gap 10-7. “Hieronymus Bocce” kept making great throws and smart choices that narrowed the gap to 10-9. It was anyone's game at this point! “Barack Obocce” was able to punch through a bocce blockade and was able to secure 3 points to take a 13-11 lead. “Hieronymus Bocce” and “Barack Obocce” were going back and forth with their points until “Barack Obocce” was able to squeak out 1 point and tie the game up at 14-14. Just when it looked like “Barack Obocce” was going to win, “Hieronymus Bocce” pulled off a miraculous throw with their last ball that moved the pallino in their favor. This forced “Barack Obocce” to continue with their turn, but they weren’t able to get their ball close enough so “Hieronymus Bocce” walked away as the champions of Bocce Ball!
