“Nasty Ashleys” are the Tuesday Softball Champions of the Summer ‘22 Season, after defeating “Where my PITCHES at?” 9-7!
“Nasty Ashleys” came into the championship as one of the favorites to take home the title, but they had to defeat a very formidable “Where my PITCHES at” team before they could be crowned the champions! These two talented teams met during the regular season, and that game was an offensive explosion. Everyone was expecting another offensive battle, and that's exactly what they got.The championship started as a defensive battle early on as “Nasty Ashleys” had a 2-1 lead after the second inning. But everything changed in the 3rd inning when the bats came alive for the “Nasty Ashleys”. They scored three runs in the third and then another four runs in the 4th to take a commanding lead. After the top of the 5th the score was 9-4 and “Where My PITCHES at?” had 6 outs to mount a comeback. The first 3 batters went down quickly and “Nasty Ashleys” season seemed to be written in stone, but “Where My PITCHES at?” did not go down without a fight. “Where my PITCHES at?” scored 3 runs in the final inning and almost mounted an incredible comeback, but “Nasty Ashleys” made an unbelievable play at third that ended the game!
