Last night we wrapped up our Thursday night cornhole league at The Bank. Eleven teams started the season hoping for glory, and four teams came into the final night with a chance to end the season on top. Those hopes were short lived, as The Unicorns came in riding a steamroller, and cruised through the competition to emerge our Champions.
They wrapped up the season a perfect 10-0, after finishing last season 9-0-1. This season, they not only finished 10-0, but they won almost every single game in each match too! The only team that won a game was the Fun Bags, who lost to our champs 3-1 last week. This week, The Unicorns dispatched the Fun Bags 3-0 to move into the finals.
Our other semi-final bracket pitted the #2 Los Animales against #3 Get It On The Board. This was a tight matchup, with the two teams battling to a 2-2 tie before playing a deciding 5th game to see who moved on to face The Unicorns. Earlier in the season, Los Animales beat Get It On The Board, but this time GIOTB took the victory.
The finals were smooth for The Unicorns, as they continued their dominating season, winning 3-0 to win the championship.
