“Over the Top” are the Tuesday Volleyball Champions of the Fall ‘21 Season, after defeating “That’s What She Set” 2-1!
“Over the Top” came into the playoffs as the #2 seed and as one of the favorites to take home the title, but they had to defeat a very formidable “That’s What She Set” team before they could be crowned the champions! The first set was a tight match with both teams exchanging points between good hits and great serves. However, “Over the Top” was able to come together and force “That’s What She Set” to commit errors that allowed them to win the first set 21-17. “Over the Top” continued their dominance into the second set with a significant point gap, but “That’s What She Set” was able to find their groove and came back to tie it up at 19-19. With two clutch service aces, “That’s What She Set” was able to take the second game and force a tiebreaker 3rd set. All the momentum was on “That’s What She Set” side, which carried into the final set. They quickly increased their lead early in the match to a 10 point gap. But, with strong service, teamwork, and consistent hitting, “Over the Top’s” determination came through and they were able to go on a 9 point run to tie it up. “Over the Top” began to pull away towards the end of the set and won the championship after making a miraculous comeback!
