“Delta Smelt Smackdown” are the Sand Volleyball Champions of the Fall ‘21 Season, after defeating “The Midas Touch” 2-0!

It was a night to remember at our Sand Volleyball position week! The match that would decide the champion was between “Delta Smelt Smackdown” and “The Midas Touch”, and it did not disappoint. In the first game it seemed like “The Midas Touch” had a golden opportunity to make the clock strike midnight on “Delta Smelt Smackdown’s” Cinderella story, but “Delta Smelt Smackdown” pulled out an incredible game one victory with a score of 22-20. In the second game, “Delta Smelt Smackdown” eventually turned up the heat and melted “The Midas Touch” best efforts with a 21-15 victory and clinching of the championship.

Congratulations to “Delta Smelt Smackdown” on becoming the Sand Volleyball Champions of the Fall ‘21 Season and winner of $50 to Streets Field House Sports Pub!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
