  Syrup or Powder?

Cream of the Crop

"Syrup or Powder?" is our Sunday intermediate champion, defeating "Some Spike it Hot" in the league final in straight sets. They saved their best for last, overcoming a 2-1 loss earlier in the night.

The season was a bit up and down, though "Syrup or Powder?" started off well with back to back 3-0 wins. After that they went cold, dropping their next two games to "Some Spike it Hot" and "Maggie's Minions", both in 3-0 losses.

They bounced back in a major way though, winning their next 3 and clinching a spot in the championship a game before the regular season ended. That may have made all the difference in the end, because while they weren't going all out in their first game of the night their opponent was using all their energy to win and just get into the championship game.

Overall "Syrup or Powder?" finishes with a 6-3 record, topping a very competitively balanced league. That just goes to show how good of a team our champions are, with the ability to win week in and week out against tough opponents.

Congratulations to "Syrup or Powder" on the championship!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
