"Kickin Balls, Takin Names" is our Tuesday night champion, making their way to the top by taking down some tough opponents! It was a night chock full of upsets, with "Kickin Balls, Takin Names" right in the thick of it.
It all started off in their first game of the night, taking on #3 "Roscoe's Kickin' & Waffles". In fact, just 2 weeks ago our champs were defeated by them in a 12-2 route. This game was a much different story though! In the end "Kickin Balls, Takin Names" would win 7-0, thanks in large part to a 6-run 3rd inning to push them to victory.
Despite the big win, the upsets were just getting started. In their second game of the night, "Kickin Balls, Takin Names" held true to their name, cruising to another easy victory over #2 "Kickies and Cream". In the other half of the bracket we also had the #1 team "Donkey Kicks" get taken down by #4 "New Kicks on the Block". That game went down to the wire, with "New Kicks on the Block" winning 3-2 on a walk-off single.
In the championship game the defense for "Kickin Balls, Takin Names" stayed red-hot, holding "New Kicks on the Block" off the score sheet entirely. As a result, their 4-0 win means they are the new Tuesday night champion!
Congratulations to "Kickin Balls, Takin Names" on the great night of playoff games, outscoring their opponents 18-1 in their 3 games. It's truly a fitting end to their season!
