"Back That Pass Up" is our Tuesday Soccer champion, picking up back to back wins last night against two tough opponents. Overall they finished with a 7-3 record, but most importantly finished as champion.
It was a rocky end to of the regular season for "Back That Pass Up", dropping their last two games and limping into the playoffs. Fortunately their hot 4-0 start gave them a leg up on getting into the playoffs, otherwise their back to back losses at the end of the season could have hurt their playoff chances. But, they were able to make it in, and boy did they make it count!
In their first round match "Back That Pass Up" took on "Ladybugs", a team they had lost to earlier this season. Despite the 2-1 defeat earlier this season "Back That Pass Up" was able to get their revenge, knocking out their higher seeded opponent in a tight 3-2 win.
In the championship game they took on a surprise opponent in "FC Sacramento". The #4 seed knocked out last season's champion and champion of the last two seasons "Plan B".
"Back That Pass Up" wouldn't be denied, gaining momentum from their first win of the night and carrying that straight into this final. Their defense was as strong as ever, while offensively also netting three goals. In the end the three goals was more than "Back That Pass Up" would need to win, and they were crowned the new league champions after the 3-1 victory. Congratulations!
