"Team Iceland" is our latest Thursday night soccer champion, finishing the season with a pair of 1-0 wins in the playoffs. It was a nice bounce back for them after a disappointing 2-5-1 record during the winter campaign for the perennial contender.
After that rough winter season, "Team Iceland" got back to basics and it paid off. They got off to a hot start which they rode through the entire season, finishing an undefeated 7-0-1 as they headed toward the playoffs.
In the playoffs it was back to business as usual for "Team Iceland", locking down two tough opponents and earning back to back clean sheets. That included "Silver Snakes" in the championship, who they faced three times this season, and picking up a win each time. Congratulations to "Team Iceland" for winning the Thursday night championship!
