"We Suck on Hardwood" is our latest Sunday Night Volleyball champion thanks to their outstanding team play! Even better, this team started out in our beginner league before making the jump to intermediate a year ago, and finally taking the championship title after seasons of hard work!
They entered the night as the #2 seed, meaning they had a real shot at the title entering the night. After #6 "I'd Hit That" upset "The Regulators" in round one, "We Suck on Hardwood" made quick work of them with a 2-0 sweep. On the other side of things "Spikological Warfare" took care of business as well, knocking out their opponent "Red Hot Tamales" in straight sets.
In the championship "Spikological Warfare" had the mental edge, having knocked out "We Suck on Hardwood" 3-0 earlier in the season. That was a different team over a month ago though, and "We Suck on Hardwood" showed how far they had come, sweeping their previously undefeated opponent 2-0. Quite the victory!
