Ice, Ice Baby

"Team Iceland" is our latest Sunday Night Division 1 champion following a strong showing last night in the playoffs. They proved why they were the best team in the division by outscoring their opponents 13-3 in what is supposed to be a tough set of games for any contender. That included a 6-1 win over the second-best team, "Kickball VII", in the championship game. Instead, "Team Iceland" made it look much too easy.

Throughout the season "Team Iceland" was undoubtedly the best team in the league. They ended the season wtih a +42 goal differential, an absurd amount. Second place was "Kickball VII" with a measley +5, and third place was "FC Amigos" at +0.

With those number alone it's easy to see how dominant "Team Iceland" was this season. Offense wasn't their only strong suit, however, as they were equally good on defense. The most they allowed in any game all season was two goals while beating opponents by a significant margin more often than not.

Overall their 10-0 record to close out the season shows just how dominant "Team Iceland" was all season, so congratulations to them for locking up the Sunday night Division 1 title with a perfect record!

Put Us In, Coach!

The "Benchwarmers" are our Sunday Night Soccer Division 2 champs following a number of close victories on the night. Entering the evening as the #2 seed the "Benchwarmers" certainly had a shot to win it all, and that they did with a couple of fantastic efforts, being well-rounded on both sides of the ball.

The night got started with quite a bang as #1 "The Come-Back Kids" got stuck in a dogfight with #4 "Libertad FC". After regulation the score was tied 1-1 and it took penalty kicks to decide a winner. During penalties "The Come-Back Kids" were able to sink four goals to "Libertad FC's" two, finally sealing their fate in the championship game.

In the second game of the night "Benchwarmers" took out "Cuervos FC" by the final of 3-1 to see themselves off to the final. The game was much similar to a previous 2-1 win by "Benchwarmers" against this same squad earlier in the season.

In the championship game the "Benchwarmers" continued to be great on both sides of the ball, while "The Come-Back Kids" were unable to get their offense very far off the ground thanks to some stifling defense. They were able to pick up a goal, but that wouldn't be enough has the "Benchwarmers" were able to net three goals en route to a 3-1 championship win.

Congrats to the "Benchwarmers" on their great championship run, and we wish them luck in Division 1 next season as they are off to bigger and better things!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
