"Unprotected Sacks" are our Friday Night Cornhole league champions after an utterly dominant season. The champs finished off the season without a loss, going 9-0-1 through the season and the playoffs. Last season they lost in the championship game, so this time you knew they were looking to make amends.
Week after week "Unprotected Sacks" took down opponents with ease, though they did hit a speed bump in their final week of the regular season. That game, which was against "Quadruple Penetration", ended in a 2-2 draw, and is the only blemish on their otherwise perfect record.
In the playoffs they were just as dominant. They took on "El Rimjobes" who won their first matchup of the night. However, "Unprotected Sacks" dispatched of them with ease to the tune of a 3-0 win.
In the other half of the bracket #3 "Quadruple Penetration" won their first game against the #6 seed 3-0 followed by a hard-fought 3-2 victory against the stronger "#AlphaMales" setting things up for a no-holds barred, winner take all rematch...
Except the rematch between "Quadruple Penetration" and "Unprotected Sacks" was not quite as close as their previous 2-2 draw. This time "Unprotected Sacks" kept their hot-streak going and snagged the championship via a 3-0 sweep.
Congrats to "Unprotected Sacks" on picking up the championship after a tough out last season. Good luck on keeping it going next season!
