"The BallBarians: Hitting It Raw This Time" are our Sunday Funday League champions! Coming into the night as the #2 team they took care of business in the first round, then beat a Cinderella hopeful in the final to take the league championship.
In their first game of the night our eventual champions took on the lowest seed in the tournament, "Nice Snatch!", who entered the game with some extremely hot bats after racking up an insane amount of runs in their first game. Unfortunately for them things were a bit harder against "The BallBarians" who were able to tame those hot bats by allowing just three runs while scoring four. Some top-notch defense by "The BallBarians" helped seal the deal and send them off to the championship game.
On the other side of the bracket the #4 team, "We'd Hit That" also caught some hot bats scoring 18 runs in back-to back wins. Their second win was against the top team during the regular season "Baby Blue Balls" knocking out the championship hopefully sooner than they would have liked. With two wins under their belt and carrying the hot hand, "We'd Hit That" was looking to take it all.
In the championship game "The BallBarians" were able to cool the hot bats of "We'd Hit That" while also picking up plenty of runs in the process. The fact that "The BallBarians" were a bit fresher may have made all the difference, but either way they were able to pull off an 8-1 championship victory.
