The A Team Bats Power Way to Championship

Last night wrapped up our Monday night softball league, with four teams vying for the title. Our #1 seed, We Got The Runs, was playing shorthanded against the #4 seeded "Red-e to Win". Earlier in the season, We Got The Runs edged them out, 9-7, but being shorthanded, they fell silent and lost 7-0 with "Red-e to Win" moving on to the championship game.

Our other semi-final game pitted #2 "The A Team" against #3 "White Lightning". The A Team had their number this season, winning 14-8 in the regular season and following it up with a 13-5 playoff victory after their offensive onslaught last night.

Our Championship game was a pitchers duel for four innings with both teams flashing the leather and pitching well. "The A Team" team was able to break the game open in the 5th inning and added a few more runs in the last inning to secure the championship. Many of the A Team players had lost championship games in past seasons, but now they can sleep as champions! Red-e to Win showed great sportsmanship and class in defeat.

Thanks to everyone for a great season!

How are Standings Calculated?
Winners receive 2 points, each team in a tie receives 1 point, and losers receive 0 points. If you forfeit, you lose a point, so don't forfeit! Plus, two forfeits make your team ineligible for playoffs.

Teams are ranked by (1) Ranking Points, (2) Head to Head Two Teams Only*, (3) Point Differential, (4) Coin Toss.

Head to Head is only used if there are two teams tied. Ties involving 3+ teams disregard H2H and move on to point differential for the tiebreaker.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
