Cornhole - Thursdays (Spring '15)

Our Spring 2015 Thursday Cornhole league wrapped up last night with the top 4 teams battling it out in a single elimination, winner take all playoff to determine which team is top dog and is awarded the coveted $50 Yolo Brewing bar tab.

The action got underway with the #1 seed and championship favorite #AlphaMales taking on the upset minded #4 seed Shucking Amazing. The two squads had met a few weeks prior in the regular season with the #AlphaMales getting the best of it with a 3-1 victory. That score turned out to be prophetic of was would ensue in the playoffs as once again the #AlphaMales emerged victorious by a score of 3-1 and cemented their rightful place in our season championship match.

Meanwhile in our second semi-final, the #2 seed seasoned veterans Deez Nuts took on #3 seed Bags 'N Holes. This match had the feel of a 50-50 contest going in, as both teams appeared evenly matched. However, it was Bags 'N Holes that got the best of the action early and built on their momentum as the match progressed, eventually winning by a 3-0 score.

So the stage was set for our final between Bags N' Holes and #AlphaMales. When the two teams met early in the season Bags 'N Holes handed #AlphaMales their lone loss of the season in decisive fashion 4-0. Would the championship game be a repeat, or revenge?

It became clear that a different outcome was in store in this match as the #AlphaMales came out blazing and with cornholes being sunk left and right they dominated the competition winning the match 3-0 and claiming the season championship.
