Kickball - Tuesdays (Spring '15) - Presented by Miller Lite

Our Spring 2015 Tuesday Kickball season wrapped up last night with a 6 team single elimination playoff to determine league supremacy.

In the opening round the #3 seed Ironic Bastards squeaked by the #6 seed Golden $howerz in a low scoring contest 3-2. Meanwhile the #4 seed Balls of Teal fell to the upset minded #5 seed Kick it and Quit It 5-1.

In our first semi-final, the #1 seed Pitch Don't Kill My Vibe put the rest of the teams on notice that they were the team to beat by winning in decisive fashion 8-0 over Kick It and Quit It. In the second semi-final, the well rested #2 seeded Where My Pitches At dominated play, winning 7-1 over the Ironic Bastards.

Thus the stage was set for a great championship game between the leagues top two teams. When the two squads met earlier in the season Pitch Don't Kill My Vibe won a defensive battle 1-0. We expected another low scoring great game and we weren't disappointed. The scoreboard was empty through 4 innings with great defensive plays all around. In the bottom of the 5th Pitch Don't Kill My Vibe broke through with two runs and that was all that was needed as they held on for a 2-0 victory.
