Cornhole - Thursdays (Winter '15)

Our Winter 2015 Thursday night Cornhole league came to a close, with #4 seed Plan B facing off against #2 seed Shucking Amaizing in the championship game. Cyrus and Brent were the only two members from Plan B for playoffs, but managed to possess a great dynamic against the four teammates from Shucking!

In Game 1, Cyrus and Brent faced off against Todd and Nick from Shucking -- Brent was the first one in, as Nick cancelled him out. As Plan B pulled ahead with a 6-1 lead, Brent and Nick were evenly matched as the game progressed. Nick in twice to take the lead, 8-7 -- but Cyrus and Brent turned the heat up on some multiple corn hole sinks, both nailing two bags each round to win the first game. Plan B leads 1-0!

Game 2 saw Lindsay & JD (not John, don't call him John!). Cyrus & JD both managed to have a solid first round, as Cyrus made 2 in but JD crowded the board -- 6-4 Plan. Brent and Cyrus took turns getting a cornhole each, but JD and Lindsay battled back to tie it up 17-17! Lindsay's next bag in the hole was cancelled by Brent, and as JD made the next Cornhole, Cyrus cancelled his points and managed to slide the last bag in. Plan B leads 2-0!

In Game 3, Nick & Todd came up again to face Cyrus and Brent. In the first round, Brent & Todd were all on board -- next round, Cyrus managed to nail 2 and slide the 3rd one in for a score of 9-3 Plan B! Brent continued to maximize the score by dragging a hanging bag into the hole, 15-4 Plan B. Todd, never defeated, brought fire to his next few rounds: a few corn holes later, the score was 19-13 Plan B, and they took their opportunity to win with points on the board. Plan B wins 3-0! We'll see Shucking Amaizing again next season, but Plan B will be enjoying their prize and scoping out their next sport to champion.
