Softball - Sundays (Summer '24)

“KP Construction” are the Sunday Softball Champions of the Summer ‘24 season, after defeating “Morale is High” 7-6!

It was the playoffs for our Sunday softball league yesterday and everyone was excited to see who would be crowned the champions. “KP Construction” and “Morale is High” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title. “Morale is High” took an early 3-0 lead in the championship and kept the defensive pressure coming as “KP Construction” fought back to score a pair of runs in the first two innings to pull within one run. “Morale is High” scored 3 more runs to go up 6-2, which meant it was now make or break time for KP Construction. In the bottom of the 4th inning, KP Construction knocked in a run to keep it close and scored two more clutch runs in the bottom of the 5th to stay within striking distance of “Morale is High”. This set up an epic last inning. In the top of the 6th, “Morale is High” hit the ball like professionals, but the “KP Construction’s” defense played like All Stars and kept making incredible plays to hold off “Morale is High” impressive offense. In the bottom of the 6th, three consecutive clutch hits pushed across the game tying and game winning runs to secure the championship for “KP Construction”. It was a season-long display of outstanding defense and excellent hitting from “KP Construction” that ultimately propelled them to the championship.
