3v3 Basketball - Mondays (Summer '24)

“Handicaps” are the Monday Basketball Champions of the Summer ‘24 Season, after defeating “Motley” 2-0!

It was the playoffs for Monday basketball last night and it didn’t disappoint. “Handicaps” and “Motley” met in the championship and no one knew who was going to walk away as the champions of Monday Basketball. “Handicaps” came out on fire in the first game. They couldn’t miss a shot and they dominated on the defensive end. Their defense didn’t allow “Motley’s” offense to get anything going for most of the first game. With a few minutes left, “Motley’s” offense started to heat up but it was too late. “Handicaps” made two impressive shots back to back and won the first game 21-19.

“Handicaps” started game two with the same energy by playing smart basketball on the offensive end and suffocating their opponent with their defense. Their scoring ability was almost effortless and it was incredible to watch. However, “Motley” kept it close by playing great defense and not allowing “Handicaps” to score any points for a few minutes. “Handicaps” started to find a groove and scored a few buckets back to back which gave them a little bit of a cushion, but “Motley” found a rhythm of their own midway through the second game which kept it competitive until the end. Both teams played their hearts out and it looked like “Motley” was going to force a third and final game, but “Handicaps” had the championship in their sights and no one was going to stop them. “Handicaps” made one final shot that was set up by a fantastic screen to win the game 21-16!

Congratulations to “Handicaps” for becoming the Monday Basketball Champions of the Summer ‘24 Season!
