“Fireball” are the Monday Volleyball Champions of the Late Spring ‘24 Season, after defeating “Sacramento Smash” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Monday volleyball last night and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “Fireball” and “Sacramento Smash” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Sacramento Smash” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 21-13. It looked like “Sacramento Smash” was going to be crowned the champions after the second game but “Fireball” had other ideas for game two. “Fireball” changed up their game plan and were able to win the second set 21-12 with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the third and final game. “Fireball” took an early lead in the third set with some incredible serves but “Sacramento Smash” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “Fireball” was able to find a groove late in the third game and won 21-15 to become the champions of Monday Volleyball!
