“Crew FC” are the Uptown Soccer Champions of the Spring ‘24 season, after defeating “Benchwarmers” 5-0!
“Crew FC” came into the playoffs as the heavy favorite to take home the title. Their offense was the main reason they finished as one of the top teams in their division but their real MVP during the championship was their defense. The championship started off evenly matched with neither team being able to pull away from the other. “Crew FC” started to turn up the heat midway through the first half and was able to score an impressive goal to take the lead. “Benchwarmers” kept applying pressure to “Crew FC’s” defense but “Crew FC” stayed strong on the defensive end all game long. “Crew FC” played a very well rounded game scoring 5 goals on offense and not allowing “Benchwarmers” to score the entire game. “Crew FC” proved that they are still the team to beat and won the championship 5-0!
Congratulations to “Crew FC” on becoming the Sunday Uptown Soccer Champions for the 4th season in a row! We look forward to seeing if they can win it again next season!
