Soccer - Sundays (Fall '14) - Presented by Southern Comfort

Our Fall 2014 Sunday Soccer season culminated this weekend as the leagues top 4 teams put their best foot forward in pursuit of their championship aspirations.

Our first semi final pitted our number one seed, "Palmeiras B" against number four seed, "Purple Drank FC". Palmeiras B jumped out to a early lead and never looked back, Purple Drank FC kept on fighting but they were never able to get a foothold in the game and Palmeiras B won 5-0

Our second semi final was between the second seed, "Plan B", and third seed, "Scoregasms". The game started out even before Plan B took control jumping out to a three goal lead. Scoregasms answered with two goals of their own cutting the defecit to a single goal until Plan B turned on the jets and add four unanswered goals to take the second semifinal 7-2.

Our final was a highly anticipated battle between the two top teams in the division, Palmeiras B and Plan B. Palmeiras B took the lead on a great chip shot that was able to beat the keeper. They were able to add a second goal soon after to open a formidable two goal lead. At the start of the second half Plan B got on the board on a great cross and out away, to make the score 2-1. At this point the game was back and forth until the final minute of the game when Palmeiras B was able to get their third goal and put the game away for good. Congratulations to Palmeiras B and to all of the teams that competed in a great soccer season.
