“Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” are the Wednesday Sand Volleyball Champions of the Fall ‘23 Season, after defeating “Big Dig Energy” 2-1!

It was the playoffs for Wednesday sand volleyball last night and it did not disappoint! “Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” came into the playoffs as the 4th seed and had a long uphill battle to get to the Championship, but they weren’t afraid of the challenge. “Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” defeated “FUVC-Friends United Volleyball Club” 2-0 in the Quarterfinals and then took down “Cold 6 pack” in two sets to advance to the finals!. “Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” and “Big Dig Energy” were the last two teams remaining in the tournament and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 21-9. It looked like “Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” were going to be crowned the champions after the second game but “Big Dig Energy” had other ideas for game two. “Big Dig Energy” changed up their game plan and were able to win the second game 21-19 with their amazing teamwork! It was tied up after two games between these two heavy weights and it all came down to the third and final game. “Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” took an early lead in the third game with some incredible serves but “Big Dig Energy” came right back with some impressive rallies of their own. “Pumpkin Spiked Lattes” found a groove late in the third game and won 21-19 and became the champions of Wednesday Sand Volleyball!
