“We Got The Runz!” are the Midtown Kickball Champions of the Summer ‘23 season, after defeating “Unsolicited kick pics” 2-0!
"We Got The Runz!" entered the final week as one of the favorites to take home the championship. Their offense was the main reason they finished at the top of their division, but their real MVP during the championship was their defense. “Unsolicited kick pics'' came out in the first inning and put a couple runners on base to start the championship. It looked like “Unsolicited kick pics” offense was going to be unstoppable but “We Got The Runz!” made a couple miraculous plays that prevented them from scoring that inning. It was a defensive battle all game long but “We Got The Runz!” finally broke the seal and scored two runs to take the lead late in the championship. “Unsolicited kick pics” played their hearts out but the “We Got The Runz!” defense proved to be too strong and won the championship 2-0!
