Volleyball - Mondays (Spring '14)

Our Spring 2014 Setter volleyball league wrapped up yesterday with a thrilling night of playoff action. 4 elite teams took to the grass courts, all with their sights set squarely on the top prize.

The games got underway as top seed Vibe Tribe, faced off against Serves You Right, seeded fourth. Serves You Right and The Vibe Tribe were neck and neck for the first half of game one, but with some powerful hits and smart plays, The Vibe Tribe took the first game and then quickly took the second games as well. Meanwhile, On the next court, Take the Hit, seeded third, took on Boom GSM, seeded second. With some incredible rallies and killer hits, Boom GSM won the first game. Take the Hit left it all on the grass, but Boom GSM was determined, and won the second game, advancing to the Championship round against The Vibe Tribe.

In the title game Vibe Tribe and Boom GSM started the first game trading point for point, before Boom GSM dug in and took the first game 21-15. The Red Vibe knew what they needed to do to step it up. The score was tied throughout the whole game, but at 18-18, The Vibe Tribe got in a groove and finished the game off with a victory. With one win for each team, the third game held all the marbles. Boom GSM jumped out of the gates, leading the final game, 7-1. The Vibe Tribe did all they could to get back in the game, but Boom GSM couldn’t be stopped. Congratulations to Boom GSM, our Setter Champions!
