“Balls Deep” are the Flag Football Champions of the Spring ‘23 Season, after defeating “Team B” 6-5!

“Balls Deep” entered the playoffs as the #4 seed and as one of the favorites to win the championship. Their offense was one of the reasons why they made it to the playoffs, but their tremendous defense is why they made it to the championship. “Balls Deep” and “Team B” played each other during the regular season and that game came down to the wire. Everyone was expecting these two talented teams to put on a show during the championship and that’s exactly what they did! “Balls Deep” came out on fire on the offensive end and scored an impressive touchdown to take the lead early in the first half, but “Team B” wasn’t going down without a fight. “Team B” kept applying pressure to “Balls Deep” defense in the first half, and were able to score a couple touchdowns to give them the lead. It looked like “Balls Deep” were going to be down one at the end of the first half, but they surprised everyone with an incredible last second touchdown before halftime and tied it up. The second half started out as a defensive battle, with neither team being able to get anything going on the offensive end. “Balls Deep” finally took the lead after stringing together a few completions in a row, but “Team B” came right back and scored a miraculous touchdown of their own and forced overtime. One overtime wasn’t enough for these two impressive teams, but “Balls Deep” was able to find the endzone and win the championship in double overtime!
