“The Peaches” are the Friday Volleyball Champions of the Fall ‘22 Season, after defeating “Gettin’ Diggy Wit It” 2-1!
It was the playoffs for Friday volleyball last night, and it did not disappoint! After two very hard fought semifinal matches, the championship was finally set. “The Peaches” and “Gettin’ Diggy Wit It” were the last two teams remaining in the playoffs, and no one knew who was going to take home the title! “Gettin’ Diggy Wit It” jumped out of the gates on fire in the first game and won 21-18. It looked like “Gettin’ Diggy Wit It” were going to be crowned the champions after the second game, but “The Peaches” had other ideas for game two. “The Peaches” changed up their game plan and performed bump, set and spike to perfection to win the second game 21-19! It was tied up between these two heavy weights, and it all came down to the third and final game. “The Peaches” took an early lead in the final match with some impressive serves, but “Gettin’ Diggy Wit It” came right back with some amazing rallies of their own. The third set started off as a nail biter, until “The Peaches” found a groove late in the third game and won 21-14 and were crowned the champions of Friday Volleyball!
