Notes

First Place

Kickball - Sundays (Late Summer '19)

The "One Kick Wonders" are our Midtown Division champions, knocking off the "Chicken Senders" in the league final.

For our champs it was all about getting on the scoreboard early, starting with their semifinal game against "Drinkers with a Kicking problem". In that game they picked up five runs in the first two innings, putting pressure on their opponent to keep up. The five runs proved to be too many for "Drinkers with a Kicking problem", resulting in a 7-2 loss.

In the championship game the "One Kick Wonders" were the home squad, getting ahead early 2-0 after the first inning. The "Chicken Senders" fought back with a run of their own to make it 2-1 after 2 innings, but an incredible offensive burst by our champs in the bottom of the 3rd inning pretty much put things out of reach. In that inning they got a clutch Ho-Run that contributed a four-run stanza. After allowing one run in the top of the 4th the "One Kick Wonders" shut it down for the rest of the game, closing things out by the score of 6-2.

Overall the "One Kick Wonders" finish with an 8-2 record to go along with a +20 point differential, both tops in the division. Congratulations to them on an incredible season!
