Cornhole - Fridays (Fall '17)

All six teams in this season's playoffs put forth a valiant effort, but in the end there is only 1 champion. Eventually, it all boiled down to one final toss.

In the first round team "Fun Bags" showed much promise, but were unexpectedly beaten by "Corn Tossers" by the score of 3-2. Also "Glory Holes", who placed sixth and barely made it to the playoffs, moved on to the second round after taking down "Pico De Gallo" in a similarly tight 3-2 win.

However, both of the winning teams from the first round were no match for the talent of our two top teams this season; "Alternative Sacs" and "Unprotected Sacks". Our two top seeded teams made quick work of the second round of games and prepared for the finals.

The championship match up was intense, trading points and games back and forth. It came down to the last game to decide who would be named the champion.

In that final game "Alternative Sacs" gained a comfortable lead and was just a single point away from victory. With the score at 12-20, Joe from "Unprotected Sacks" proceeded to sink four in a row while "Alternative Sacs" was only able to board three. "Unprotected Sacks" rejoiced in disbelief and, with a finish only seen in movies, secured the 24-23 win. What a finish!

Congratulations to "Unprotected Sacks" on the incredible finish! The win not only won them the championship, but it preserved their undefeated season as well. Nicely done!
