Kickball - Wednesdays (Late Spring '16)

The "Ramrods" are our Midtown Division champions, knocking off two higher-seeded teams last night to rightfully earn that name.

Their first game of the night presented them with a daunting task. The "Ramrods" took on the #2 "Crispy Breaded Chicken Tenders" in a rematch of the first game of the season. In that game the "Ramrods" lost 7-0, putting doubt into their minds early as to whether they could make the playoffs or not.

Unlike that game the "Ramrods" 'flipped the script' and were able to put up seven runs of their own while only allowing two. The 7-2 win meant they would head to the championship, with a chance to win it all.

In the championship game they took on the top-seeded "Ball is Lyfe" who came off a 5-3 win in the first game of the night in the Midtown Division. Oddly enough the final would also end at 5-3, but this time not in favor of "Ball is Lyfe". Instead, "Ramrods" was able to pick up runs by taking advantage of some mental mistakes by their opponent. Meanwhile, they kept the mistakes on their end to a minimum and were able to pick up the 5-3 championship win!

Congrats to the "Ramrods" for a great season, and for reminding us that it's not how you start, but how you finish! We look forward to seeing how they fair next season as they make a run at back-to-back titles.
