"Corndejo" are the Thursday Cornhole Champions of the Spring '24 season after a thrilling 3-2 victory over "Feeling Corny"!
The playoffs at Nitty's last night were nothing short of spectacular. In the quarterfinals, #4 seed "Los Cazadores" and #3 seed "Corndejo" advanced with swift 3-0 victories, setting the stage for exciting semifinal matchups.
The semifinals were intense, with only two teams able to continue their journey. #1 seed "The UniCorns" defeated "Los Cazadores" 3-1, while #2 seed "Sack Kings" fell to "Corndejo," keeping the underdog story alive.
In the championship match between "Corndejo" and "The UniCorns," both teams were on fire, hitting the board with precision. Each game was a nail-biter, coming down to the wire. With the series tied at 2-2, it all came down to the fifth and final game. "Corndejo" took an early lead, but "The UniCorns" fought back to tie it up, creating an atmosphere of intense anticipation. In the end, "Corndejo" managed to pull away and secure the final game, clinching the championship.
